what's a blog? ;-)

Wow! It's been a month almost 2 months? How time flies when you're ... #1 - on Facebook, #2 - not on the computer much, #3 - you forget you ever blogged...laughing. All three would be me!!

Sorryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! I will try NOT to write a long one. Most of you know what I've been up to..and if you don't, there's not that much to tell. lol

The above statements were actually written a month ago, I saved them as a draft, and voila... I'm back again!

So, let's see .. newest news... I got another ribbon yesterday in the monthly showing I participate in sometimes. The theme was Patterns and Textures. Wow, two shows, two ribbons...can I tell you I'm very excited! The photo is on my website at www.ritapoorman.com ..under Scenic and is photo #5, I believe. It was taken at Paramount Ranch, CA at a car meet where I first met GWN/Firebrat!

We are having, so far, a delightful summer. We've definitely had some HOT weather, but mostly we're experiencing tolerable weather....yesterday was high 80's! Warm enuff to float in the pool and take a nap but not so hot that you spend every extra moment at the mall where it's air conditioned!

Hmmm?? Other than that, life has been quiet and calm. Enjoying summer concerts in the park (different ones..lol) .. free swing and salsa nights under the stars at the mall .. a couple of times at the beach... and oh yeah, working! (in air conditioning!)

Looking forward to a 5 day cruise the 3rd week of September to celebrate my sisters 40th birthday. Will be out of San Diego for 5 days. Day 1 at sea, 2 in Cabo San Lucas, 3 at sea, 4 in Ensenada, 5 at sea...home next morning. Well, back to San Diego, anyways..lol Will be sis and my first cruise and our other 4 shipmates are all past cruisers. Hmm, what happens on the ship stays on the ship??? hehe Of course, will be surrounded by my family, so I guess NOT..lol

All for now... will try and be a bit more consistent!
