ummm B, hmmm...L.. maybe O

Yeah, yeah... I know...it's been hmmm 10 days. What excuses can I give? Actually, which ones will you accept? hehe I gave up on day 5 of being sick..I'm just not as committed or motivated as our Goddess and the energy I had I wanted to spend chatting, not writing. Sorry missy ..

My illness has almost left me..yippee... started antibiotics (thanks to a good friend) and should be good as new! This one wiped me out..was so tired all the darn time! I feel lucky though.. I have a few friends that had this same thing turn into pnuemonia. It is part of this flu, so be careful out there!

The weekend found me back to "normal"? lol Got some dancing in, a short visit to Disneyland with my 22 month old goddaughter, and a little shopping in at the California Wholesale Gift Show. Oh my word...I could spend a fortuned there!

Our weather's been beautitiful, 70's to 80's during day and 50? at night. Blue skies, sunshine, light breezes and tomorrow evening we're expecting RAIN again...grrrrrrrrrrr! I won't complain though, we're not blanketed with 31 inches of snow or suffering the buckets of rain Vancouver has had. *zipping lips*

It's been fun talking with Pat and Dini about Pat's upcoming nuptials. I also want to congratulate Deeries and Nert, Swt^cheeks and her fella and Sammi and her honey. This will be a busy summer of friends taking that step to stand before God and man (and woman..lol) to solidify their relationships.. emotionally and legally. How wonderful..sigh :)

Enough for now... stay safe and well.. ..hugz

cough, whisper...sighhhhhhhh

Day 5 of having a sore throat, cough and headache. Unlike our wonderful Blog Goddess, I am not blogging much during my illness...saving energy to chat with my friends. Sleep is also escaping me as that's when my cough goes into full bloom. I'm very thankful to have a 3 day weekend in front of me...hopefully by the end of it I'll be feeling better.

Glad to have the rain gone and nice weather back, for now anyways. Should be in the low 70's tomorrow. California is still suffering the effects of too much rain as bits and pieces of hillsides/mountainsides are falling down, aquaducts cracked, people are being evacuated from their homes ..nothing like a tsunami, but scary in itself. My heart goes out to all those who have suffered due to the numerous natural disasters occuring in the world.

Enough for now .. stay WELL and safe 0:-)

It's raining, it's pouring...

Anyone have an ark to rent? As I sit here the rain is taking a short break, only a light rain versus the deluge we've been having for days and which is to continue through tomorrow. Can someone remind what the sun looks like??? I really shouldn't complain.. it may rain heavily where I am but that is nothing in comparison to all the people that are having flooding, who's homes have floated away, who are SNOWED in..hehe .. 19 ft in 2 weeks..WOW! Oh yippee, just heard the weather report...another storm, a colder one even, coming in tonight!

With all the rain, I don't have much to tell you as I've stayed relatively close to home. Saw the Aviator on Saturday night..was good...long.. Howard Hughes was an eccentric man. Did a little shopping, lunched out.. you know..just stuff.

Christmas is still keeping us company here. :-( We can't get into our garage because of the rain and all the dirt, now mud, in front of it. We'll have to dig our way in ..lol...once the rain gives us a few days break and the mud drys up and becomes dirt again..haha.

Okay...work beckons, so off I go...wishing you all a fabulous week!

stay safe and well..hugz 0:-)

Back to normal...

Okay..twice this week.. this is a good thing, right? :-) Beginning of the year and went right back to"normal", quickly! Work has been busy, which has been good... and the boss has gotten in as much golf as he could during "dry" periods. Since last Friday we've had 1 and 1/2 "dry" days and for that I'm grateful! I got to wear sandals.hehe. Rain is supposed to back tonite and last until Monday with short breaks. Temps are ranging in the low 50's during the day and mid 30's at night. Now I know for many of you that is "warm" weather but it's NOT for So. California, so, little bits of sympathy, ok???

I extend my sympathies to Dini who Ricky was so kind to share his cold with!! The flowers were a nice touch, brat! As for Brad and Lisa, no puppies for me, my friends..I'm still trying to pass on an 18 yr old girl and her cat..hehe. I do however wish you a lovely evening as you remember that special day 10 years ago that you chose each other for life. :-)

Well...not much to report this time, so will call it a day and wish you all a wonderful weekend!

til then..stay safe and well.. hugz 0:-)

Who better to be Grand Marshal? :) Posted by Hello

my family :) Posted by Hello

New Years greetings...

Welcome to 2005! My wishes for us all this year are good health, prosperity (with or with winning the lottery), the love of family and friends and the opportunity for us to give back to our community, our country and the world. The end of 2004 found me enjoying a wonderful Christmas (see above family photo), a lovely New Years Eve and day (see other pic) and lots of extra days off! :-) .. I am blessed AND thankful for all that I have! I hope you know that you are too.

During the first week of the new year I create the goals I want to work on in the upcoming year. After watching the massive destruction in Asia last week, I have decided that my main goal will be to give back.. I guess kind of like paying it forward. That can take many forms and I have not yet decided which it will be but will make a decision soon. Keep me in your prayers for what would be the "right" thing (s) for me to invest myself in.

The Rose Parade was fabulous, as always! The floats were creative, the colors brilliant, the bands played incredibly and the equestrian units were wonderful...some awesome horses and some pretty awesome looking men riding them, especially the ones from Medieval Times..hehe..oops..did I say that out loud???
It never ceases to amaze me that for at least 5 hours on New Years day, Pasadena seems to be protected from bad weather and this year, #49, was no different. On Friday we got 2+ inches of rain and then it just stopped, the skies cleared and the sun and bright blue sky stayed until about 2pm on New Years day. Since then we been covered with clouds and this afternoon at about 2pm the skies opened back up and it's been raining ever since and is supposed to stay with us until the end of the week! After 49 years it seems to me that divine intervention is the key, not luck... thank you, Lord! :-)

Well, my friends... I look forward to another year of sharing life with you, no matter what it brings. Thank you for all you are and give to me....

Stay safe and well... til then...hugggz 0:-)

PS...will TRY and blog more regularly..hehe
