getting better...
It's been a long 10 days fighting this darn bug. I've missed you.. but for your sake, I've stayed away and kept my bugs mostly to myself. :-) In the interim, my daughter turned a year older... I, a year younger *grin* and my granddaughter will also be a year older tomorrow. It's amazing that she will be 11 years old... doesn't seem at all possible that it's been that long OR that as young as I am, I could have a grandchild that age!! We'll be spending Saturday at Knotts Berry Farm for her special day. I'm not a roller coaster rider but the entrance fee will be well worth it to spend the day together watching them scream and taking lots of pictures..lolSalsa is going well. I'm telling you, intermediate is darn skippy hard!! And sighhhhh, the spinning...wish my head would stop when the turn we're doing is over. Hopefully as time goes by my equilibrium will make the adjustment and I'll be able to focus on the steps I'm supposed to be learning. Open to suggestions!I got some fun news today. Will be putting my photo's in a gallery for June and July. Will be 4 or 5 artists that use different mediums. Now I have to pick my favorites and do what I need to do to get them ready. Just as I thought I would do something different for a while... back I go. Guess I should pay attention.I am working on some fun new creative lettering and "doodling" (yes, you read that right) projects... cards, gifts, etc. Will post some photo's in the near future.California is finally going to get a sunny and WARM weekend, so won't be around much, but will get some birthday photo's posted early next week.stay safe and well and enjoy your weekend!hugz
sick and tired....
Of being sick and tired! Cold/flu #3 this winter and truthfully, I'm done! I was sent home today and told not to come back til I'm well. :-( It's not that I don't enjoy being home, but I don't enjoy it when I feel like this. At least I have good company as Brittany has it too. Hopefully she'll get over it very soon as Friday is her birthday and she's going away for the weekend! Salsa went better this week. We got the teacher to slow down a bit and repeat what she was teaching us til we got it. Now, if I could just figure out what the key is so that my head stops spinning when my body does. So far the "spotting" isn't working, but I'll keep working at it.I just can't think of what else to type...so, I will end by wishing all the special birthday people in my life all the best...hope your birthday is fabulous ! stay safe and WELL... hugz
end of the week....
My thought for today after spending time with a very special person is that ...
IT (whatever *it* is in your life) really doesn't matter. What does matter is good health, people that love and support us in times of good and bad, right or wrong, a cheerful spirit and an attitude of thanks for all that we DO have. My week has been good..busy, as usual..lol Tonite is dancing, as usual. Hmm, I'm getting boring.. going to have to do more...or perhaps less. :-)The weekend will find me busy with birthday projects that have to find themselves winging their way to the birthday people A.S.A.P! Anyone with free time, please call me and I'll set you up a place right next to me.. I'll even provide lunch! Alaska is sending a very cold front our way this weekend ..along with rain and wind...hopefully all the "winter" that we'll have...will do my best to send it back NORTH! Snow is already falling down around the 2500 ft mark...which for us southerners is low! If I can see the mountains in the morning I will take of pic of our snow. I realize it's nothing in comparison to the BC'rs....but hey... it's normal there!Til next time...stay safe and well.. hugz
Nothing blogworthy....
I was thinking there is nothing blogworthy and then realized, of course there is... I'm still around to tell you there isn't..lol. In watching the news, listening to people I know with serious illnesses, and I must say (as I do every so often) that I'm thankful for all my blessings! Relatively good health, a loving family, supportive friends, and a great job...these are but a few.Took lesson #1 of intermediate salsa class and almost want to quit..lol. There is not a good transition between 1 & 2 and she crammed in a lot of things we did not know. Just have to have faith in myself that I will get it! My biggest problem is the amount of turns/spinning we are doing.. and the reason it's my biggest problem is that I struggle with dizziness. I really hope I can get past this!Another blessing...was offered another small part-time job this week. Will only have to do it a couple of times a month...there or at home. Cool, eh? :-)Sharon, fabulous blog! I wish you all the best as you journey into this new decade of life, which I've found to be the best. By reading what you wrote, I can already see you are well on your way to all the joys it brings. I hope you have a wonderful party filled with all that you want it to be! Happy 50th Birthday and God Bless!BlogGoddess...welcome back. I read your blog and am keeping it in my mind... I will make no promises, as I don't want to break them...but will also make every effort to be more consistent! stay safe and well ... hugz

my band! ;-)
a bit of blog :-)
Hope this finds everyone well and enjoying good weather. I didn't get to watch the Awards tonite as I was at a bridal shower and thought they started at 6. Turns out the started at 5 and we weren't home til 6:15. I was told they were supposed to replay at 8 but ...sighhhhh.. oh well, let's say I saw Best Actress and Best Film.. anyone want to fill in the blanks? lolLast week was a busy work week at both my jobs so, no news is good news, right? :-) Missing the blogs, but everyone deserves a break. (umm, that would be a short one, got it?! )Weekend was fun.. music, more music and a lovely day out yesterday at an outdoor marketplace with Amanda and my mom and then invited my ex mom in law to join us for dinner while we were in her neighborhoood. She was delighted to join us, as we were to have her. Being 40 or so miles away makes it difficult for us to see her very often and now that she can no longer drive, it's even less often. The birthday month is now upon us, 8 family ones and numerous friends. I tell you, it feels like Christmas all over again! I realized that on Tuesday my grandmother would have been 100 years old...wow. I am thankful for the 94 years we had and the good genes she passed on! :-)Enough for now... have a fabulous week...stay safe and well.. hugz O:-)
