alright, who gave me their cold????

I know it couldn't possibly be because I've been busy the whole month of September and probably not getting the rest I should and that I've been in and amongst crowds of people that are sick themselves or have sick children.. So, which one of you is it?? lol And this too shall pass :-)

This has been a relatively quiet week, hence not much blogging. Dini describes "non-blogging" times so well that I just choose not to rather than babble about nothing. I've enjoyed watching season premiers .. it allows me to choose which shows I'll spend my precious time watching and which don't deserve (IMHO) for me to waste time and the electricity it takes to run the tv. I've been reading a little more lately and am continuing to work on the photo's that got ordered. I should be hanging some photo's in a coffee shop this weekend and have set up a time to see about the street fair that I'm interested in.

This Saturday is a girls nite out for 5 of us to celebrate on of the gal's birthdays. We're renting a lovely room that has a huge jacuzzi bath (fits 3), taking margarita mix (with my fancy glasses), snacks, some movies and 3 of the gals are going to work on their beading, and just we'll just hang out... a sleepover, so to speak! :-) Being grown ups is just lovely!

Many thanks for your patience as I got caught up with work, life, and finishing up for my opening. This was a six day work week but I am planning on slowing down (a little) now. :-) This blog should catch me up through this weekend and then I can go back to normal and blog every so often..haha *ducking the incoming threats! ;-)

Florida .. a lovely place to visit but not to live ..guess I won't be retiring there! The timing of our trip was good, and not ... still hot and humid, September 13th was the 9/13 since 1977. Go figure, eh? lol The humidty that day was also in the 90's. Luckily that was the worst day of the six that we were there. Our time on the Gulf Coast consisted mostly of visiting as all the surprise guests showed up three days in a row. My aunt and uncle were emotionally spent (in a good way) by the time we left three days later...they are still talking about the fact that we were really all there! Three days were spent in the Orlando area, two of them at Disney..the Animal Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom... fun, fun, fun...right up my alley! Had a fabulous time with my sis, bro-in-law, and my adorable nieces!

We winged our way back to California on September 14th, arriving home..actually in the door, about 3 hours later than we should have..grrrrr... but safe and sound. We unpacked, repacked, slept, hooked up the tent trailer and headed down to San Diego for 3 1/2 days to try and relax a bit while watching the hydroplane races. We welcomed the early morning cloud cover and cool temperatures and then enjoyed the 70 degree temps for the rest of the day.

Ten days of family, friends and fun... all in all, a wonderful vacation!

Last week was spent getting caught up at both of my jobs and doing the finishing touches for my opening at the restaurant last Friday. After spending all day Friday being nervous.. it came, happened, and went.... quite well, thanks for asking! :-) Just guessing, approximately 70 people came and went during the evening. I made a few small sales and 2 0r 3 people are interested in large framed/matted photo's. It was so exciting and I am so greatful to ALL my friends, near and far, for their support and encouragement...I would not have done it without your gentle, yet consistent nudging! A couple of coffee shops are also interested in hanging my photo's too, so continued good thoughts, please!

October has some fun events coming up too. A wedding in Nevada... a redheaded visitor with an accent (hope I can understand him! hehe) .. and some tentative things. Just about the time I think things will settle down...the holidays will be upon us! Maybe I could schedule in some quiet time in January? lol

home again, home again....

Ten wonderful days, think I could have gone for 30! :-) Was great to be gone, good to be home. First 2/3rds of vacation was very busy, last 3rd was all about relaxing!

Florida trip was hot, humid and GREAT. All the surprises went off wonderfully and we had 3 1/2 days of lots of laughter, catching up, and just being together. The last 3 days were spent in Orlando where it was still hot and humid..lol.. hottest September 13th in 19 years...go figure, eh??? ;-) Spent one day at Disney's Animal Kingdom which we enjoyed and one day at the Magic Kingdom where the longest line was only 15 minutes long! Was fascinating to see the same rides but the differences in them between Florida and California.

San Diego was a great break from all the heat..mid 70's, NO humidity and no hustle and bustle. We were home about 15 hours before we headed down there. Always good to see old friends, nap, read, play games, and relax.

Still in a bit of business as I prepare for Friday evenings event. The closer it gets, the more nervous I get.. oh well. :-)

here and gone....

Got home safely albeit quite a bit later than expected this afternoon putting us right in the middle of rush hour traffic, touched down and 4:27, finally left the airport ... was an interesting day to say the least! Got mostly unpacked so that I can repack and we will head off to San Diego tomorrow.

greetings from florida!!

Arrived safely last Thursday and have been on the go ever since!!! All the surprises came off perfectly, altho there were many "almost" slips! Has been great visiting with all my family and all the days and the anniversary have been well documented!! (like u thought less)

Arrived back in Orlando this evening and are heading off to Disney's Animal Kingdom tomorrow and Walt Disney World on Tuesday, home again on Wednesday before we head off to San Diego!
