Update time. Lemme see... life is good..no complaints, cuz if I had them, it wouldn't change anything. lol We had SUNSHINE this weekend...woohoo! I think it's been 4 or 5 weekends of clouds, sun on weekdays and then it would take the weekends off and go away.

Girls nite out was Friday as we celebrated one their birthdays with drinking and dancing. Band sucked ... spending time with friends did not. :-) Relaxing Saturday with A and then dinner with a canadian fireman .. what more could a gal want! Today was another gal's day out, but with different gals..lol.. we went to check out the gallery where my photo's (and their paintings, etc) will hang for 2 months. Wow, it's real! Then off to a bead shop (no, I'm not learning something new), lunch and then home to review my photo's.

Hope this finds the reader (meaning you) having had a wonderful weekend, full of good weather (ours was mediocre), fun times (I cleaned house), and some relaxation thrown in for good measure!

Did two hours of salsa today..can anyone say, TIRED? lol My weekend also included some spring cleaning, watched some movies .. Narnia was excellent, and just took it easy .. needed a weekend like that. Don't we all though?

what a slacker...

Yup...that would be ME! And, I'm not ashamed to say so..lol. I have thought of blogging often, but when I've had the free time, I just don't want to sit and think about what to write. Not that there isn't new stuff.. I just am feeling like Dini .. in the minus category when it comes to energy.

So... SORRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

Now that Easter has passed us by, I'm hoping that life will settle down a bit too. That might just be a pipe dream, but I'm entitled, right?

Updates & prayer request .. my friend continues to hang on, but barely. I don't go by as often as she can't take much of a visit.. but still every few days and I call every other day, just a way to keep in touch. I am sad. Another young lady I know, and I think I mentioned, continues to wait for the results on the 2nd biopsy for a tumor in her brain. She is 37 years young and has 2 children. Cancer cares not what age we are. Please keep these ladies in your prayers.

New stuff... I got a new toy..will post a photo this weekend. Had 2 photo shoots in the last 5 days.. sample of each shoot to follow this weekend too. Continuing to prepare photo's for gallery showing...have to do that as time and MONEY allow. Got the post card "invites" ...will scan and share...happy to see any of you there!

home again, home again...

A couple days away from home.. a nice break in the midst of busyness! AND, only a two day workweek..what more could a gal want..lol.

This past weekend found us (A, B & me) in Laughlin, NV with my mom (we were celebrating her 75th), my aunt & uncle, son & family and brother and his girlfriend. No one won big but we all had a great time being together and TRYING to win..lol. Perfect time of year for the desert, temps around 80..blue skies..breezy at times. I think I'll spend the rest of the week trying to cough the smoke out of my lungs from the casinos...YUCKKKKKKKKKKK!

I'm slowly picking the photo's I want to use for the Gallery showing. I blew up the photo I took in Oahu of the Koi fish feeding frenzy and am very pleased with how it came up. It's an explosion of orange, red, white in 16x20. I want to matte and frame it in white and in a 20x30 frame as the focal point for my part of the showing.

another weather whine!

I tell you, I'm sure we're either in Seattle or Vancouver.. the rain and gray go on and on an onnnnnnnnnnnn. You realize this is putting a real crimp in my sandal wearing!! I've worn closed shoes for a week..AND have had lots of comments about this new part of my wardrobe..lol. Rain expected to continue off and on for the next four days with a new storm coming in next Monday/Tuesday. Dini, send my weather back!!!

March was a busy month...birthday after birthday, a wedding shower, classes etc. Today is my Mom's 75th birthday and my daughter-in-law's 35th....we're almost at the end of the major birthday cycle we celebrate each year. Now I can start saving for Christmas again..lol

My friend that has been fighting cancer for the last 22 months is near the end of her fight. *very deep sigh* I have been visiting with her every few days just to let her know I am there and when I visited Monday, we said our goodbye's. There were hugz and kisses and loving words and tears. I am thankful for the friend and mentor she has been and her prescence will definitely be missed by many!

By the time you read this you'll either have already changed your clocks..or you'll have overslept..hehe.. hope it's the first one! Went dancing again tonite and checked into channel for a sec...to my pleasant surprise, Stihl was there. We enjoyed a short catchup time. So very glad to hear he is doing better!

Time to go change my clocks before bed... will finish update tomorrow!
