Right or wrong, it is done....

Terry Shiavo now resides with the angels, whole and at peace. I am thankful she is no longer being starved and dehydrated..13 days, can you imagine? Is there a right or wrong? Should the courts have been involved? Why wouldn't her husband let her parents care for her? Why would he not let them be there during her final moments? Will he go and get married now? He won't have to get a divorce. So many questions, not many answers, lots of opinions. And would we get the truth?? At least she is at peace.

Beautiful week in So. California... low 80's, blue skies and I'm at work..something is wrong with this picture...lol Oh yeah, that's right...I'm not independantly wealthy yet...lol Someone must have gotten the winning lottery ticket I didn't buy. :-)

I think I'll sleep... perchance to dream

stay safe and well... hugz

okay, okay, okayyyyyyyyyy...lol

I am HERE! I am trying! lol What a busy month it's been! The birthdays are over... only 3 next month. Also a 2 day workshop, a luncheon, the Rennaisance Faire (I hope), a photo job, a dinner with a friend that's treating me to a 1/2 a donut, and getting ready for my trip in early May!

Easter was lovely. We had lunch for 12 here... when did I turn into a Martha Stewart apprentice? lol The food was fabulous (everyone shared in providing) and it's good to be surrounded with family you love, including the ex-laws. I am so thankful for my friendships with them!

I have had a headache that was horrible on Saturday, very uncomfortable yesterday afterenoon/evening and today has settled to a dull roar. I'm praying for "normal" tomorrow, that being anything better than the last 3 days have been. Please keep me in your prayers/thoughts.

Also, please keep Terri Schiavo in your prayers/thoughts. Tomorrow is day 12...I can't even imagine. I don't want her to suffer anymore and after 12 days of no "food" or water, I can't believe she is not suffering. Is there a lesson in this for all of us?

Stay safe and well.. hugz

PSSTT...You're awesome, Dini! She's fabulous! ;)

i'm back?

Well, I was almost back to regular blogging, then life got in my way. Birthday parties, pool playing (realtime and online), movies, dinners out... and then when I'd finally log on, blogging took the last seat on my bus. I so wanted to blog after reading Bobbi's short blog about what to do with a 19 year old and them taking responsibility for their actions, but again, life got in the way as I had a huge situation with my 18 years old. I had nothing I could offer but was seeking help for myself anywhere I could find it.

Please accept my apologies. (groveling..sorta..lol) I must say though, I appreciate those of you that have kept blogging, giving me daily reading material, smiles and laughter, encouragment, and food for thought.

What a month March is in our family with birthdays literally every 2 to 3 days. We have two left and then April is down to a simple 3! Thank you all for your cards, gifts and good wishes... I know I am loved and blessed! :) My birthday was celebrated over the course of 4 days and I so much fun doing things I love with people I love and I didn't have to cook for 5 days! lol Who new ** could be such fun..hehe And Pat, I may always be a few weeks older than you, BUT you'll always be right there with me! haha

We continue to see rain every few days, or for a few days, which has now set a record. I know we need it but am so ready for a few weeks of NO rain. Please send our sunshine and a wee bit of warmth back if it was mistakenly sent to you!

I am almost at the point of counting down the days til i get to see my friends in May, and I thank Dini for keeping the counter on her blog for "us"..hehe

God bless and keep you all safe and well, and may your Easter be full of hope and blessings.

words I'm supposed to "hear"....

Do you ever notice that when you are trying to ignore things you are supposed to pay attention to, they get through to you one way or the other???? This morning while checking my "Flylady" emails (lots of cool testamonials) there was one from Flylady regarding going to the funeral of a 46 year old married father of two who died from complications of diabetes. (nudge #1) A little later I went and caught up on my blog reading and low and behold I read in Pat's blog "off to have eyes checked cuz of diabetes". (stronger nudge!)

For those of you that don't know, I am diabetic. How ironic, I've been addicted to sugar/sweets since I was little! Sugar is to a diabetic what that one drink is to a drinker, that one cigarette to a smoker .... it's one step closer to choosing serious health issues or even death. For most people, it is all about choice.. we know better, but we ignore the obvious, thinking "it won't happen to me"... not much different thinking then what the younger generation has about life in general. What goes on in our heads that doesn't let us take care of ourselves the way we would take care of a child, a parent, a friend? I have been nudged strongly today and would encourage those fighting with their own issues to fight back, get well, choose to live!! Cuz guess what? It CAN happen to us!

Stay safe and well.. take care of you and yours... hugz

sigh...I spoke too soon!

Remember that rain we WEREN'T having...it's baaaccccckkkkkkk! According to the weather man it will be much lighter and only off and on for the next week. At least it's not SNOW! :-) For those of you still suffering from the white stuff... I wish you sunshine and warmth...soon!

Relatively quiet since my last blog. Housework keeps me constant company, especially with all the company we've had coming through lately. Saturday should be last event for awhile. Family coming over for dessert in the afternoon before my aunt, uncle, and their pooch, wing their way back to Florida. I think I would like to find something to do on Easter, AWAY from the house!

I think it may be time to start on new projects I have waiting for me. Then again, maybe not quite yet. Hmmm, to do or not to do?

Short but done..hehe.. stay safe and well.. hugz 0:-)

the lunch bunch :) Posted by Hello

Weekly update....

So, where was I last time?? Oh yeah, looking for an ark to rent. As it turns out, we've gotten another break from being washed away but are expecting drizzly days off and on over the next week. Key word is "expecting", which means it could be 80 and sunny...or 50 and raining again. Welcome to So. California weather... never dependable!

I am happy to have completed and sent off Twinks wedding invitations, etc. The best part is, she and Bryan LIKE them! lol Quite interesting to create something that the person has not really seen, touched, been part of, except online. I appreciate them trusting my judgement with such an important item in their wedding.

Last weekend found me busier than I've been in a long time!!! Dancing Friday night, luncheon for 21 on Saturday at noon (made 5 casseroles on Friday), a wedding (missed it by minutes) at 3:30p and the reception from 5:30p - 10:00p. Sunday found me cleaning, shopping and making snacks and frozen cosmopolitans for a girls pj party for the Academy Awards... fun, fun...FUNNNNNNNNN!

This month is like Christmas all over again in our family! Birthdays are 10th, 14th, 15th, 17th, 19th, 21st, 24th and 28th...and that's just family! There are probably at least another 5 that are friends! I'm very thankful only about 1/2 of them get gifts...lol...I'd be living in the poorhouse..or with one of my friends *subtle hint*.
Of course that half are not the dollar store gifts..hehe.

This weekend will be calmer ...getting in some dancing, pool playing..and if I'm lucky, maybe a movie. Call me if you're free to join me!

Off I go...stay safe and well.. God bless...

hugzzz
