PLEASE turn down the heat!!!

Good grief! Can't someone call in some favors??? Temps have been right around 100, WITH humidity, for about a week now. I'm like overdone, as are all of us... you can tell by all the wonderful little attitudes floating around our house! One day I'm gonna live like a real grown up, in a place with AIR CONDITIONING!! sighhhhhh...okay, I feel better for the moment!

This weekend was incredibly busy and wonderfully fun!! Friday found me and a gf at the Laguna Art Festival (exclusive, expensive, beach city). My friends were playing there and got us tickets. We saw fabulous art, jewelry, etc.. mostly unaffordable..lol but heard great music and ate yummy greek food while being entertained by a good looking and great sounding singer/songwriter .. Harold Payne. Very talented! From there we headed off to the Orange County Fair cuz a good friend gave me free tickets. More fun was had walking around window shopping and looking at all the brand new baby animals. From there we headed off to get our dancing fix and finally found ourselves home around 1:30am. After checking my e-mail I popped into channel to be pleasantly surprised by Antessa who has not been in for eonsssssss... so very good to see you, gf! I finally dropped into bed having had a great day and evening! Saturday was errand day, which included shoe shopping for a canadian friend of ours that shall remain nameless...lol Later a band party which included music from 2 different bands, lots of great bbq, and good company... it was an early night to make up for Friday! Today was the Gift Show in Los Angeles...anyone have a couple of thousand $'s they want to give me? Promise I'll bring you a gift...lol

This week will be full of "stuff". My last hula class is tomorrow afternoon. What fun that has been!! And great exercise too...it's an incredible workout! I would love to take another and just get better and better. Extra work at my gf's office to make up for missing this Friday, a nail appointment, packing, getting a Trip Tik from AAA...and finally... heading up to Vancouver on Friday morning! Woohoo!

oh yes we're hot, hot , hot....

Sitting here in my dining room at 11pm and it's still about 90 in the house...outdoors there is cooler air and a fabulous full moon... maybe I should sleep outside? That would be a NO!

Sunday evening there was a shooting at a local fast food place about a block and a half away. Flashbacks of five years ago when the guy next door was out walking with his pregnant wife and was shot about two houses away. Scary times we live in.. three shootings reported on the news today (that i know of)...one a 68 (?) year old woman, sitting innocently at the bus stop got caught in the crossfire of two rival gangs... they did NOT die, she did. :-( Yesterday, two boys, 13 & 15 I believe...same thing...wrong place, wrong time. And if it had happened to their families ...EVERYONE would pay. I won't get started ..

Prayers for my ex sis in law, please. She had a stroke in the optic nerve of her good eye (she's had problems with the other since she was a child) last week and is now considered legally blind. Don't know what will happen with work, etc but is a life altering event. Thanks.

Hmmm, need some good news here. I WILL be attending Twink's wedding next weekend and am looking forward to it! Have fun things planned for this weekend ...feel free to join me!

what to blog about????

To blog or not to blog..that was my question..then I was told it IS time. So, hear I sit trying to figure out what to tell you. No news IS good news, but it makes for boring reading..lol.

Had a wonderful time at the fair on Friday. Son (and his family) did join us..a nice treat! The kids had a great time and we got to see new baby farm animals, wonderful crafts, lots of gadgets to spend money on..and food everywhere! The highlight of the day/evening was the going to the Speedway Races, motorcycles that run on nitro on oval dirt track with no brakes!! Grandma has gotten her grandkids hooked! lol We stayed til the last race was run and cheered on MY favorite. This guy has been racing since I was in my very early 20's and is 48 now (I think) .. still racing and still winning! The guy who was in the lead had an awful accident and his finish line ended up being at the local hospital with some broken bones. :-(

I'm excited about my trip to Vancouver at the end of the month. Will be wonderful to see friends I have not seen in almost 3 years and to attend the wedding of one of those special people! Best of wishes, Pat on your upcoming marriage.. so glad to know you've found the one for you!! (and I'm not panicked, thanks..but much happier about the film, ya brat! :P) Psst, thanks Dini ;-)

Just a quickie to let you know that yesterday I visited with the restaurant owner that is showing artist's work on a rotating basis and I will have a show, most likely in September! I now have to enlarge and frame 10 of my favorite photos and then have prints to sell the night of the opening. Woohooooo!! Thank you all for your encouragement, support and love!!! So, how many invites shall I sent out? hehe

Enjoying a short work week!! Tomorrow have a date with daughters, son, dtr-in-law, and grandkids to go to opening day of the Orange County Fair, our annual trek! Will be great to have son along as he works long hours ( has a 1 1/2 hr drive each way) and when he has time off, he wants to be at home.

Hope everyone is celebrating a wonderful holiday weekend. For those to the north, hope Friday was great and have fun at work tomorrow..hehe. To those in the US... have a safe, sane and fabulous 4th spent with those you love (like? hehe) and enjoy your day off!

Thought it was about time that I show up again, and being that NO ONE is online to keep me company, I'll get caught up on my blog! I think the summer months will see less blogging as people go out and have a life...whether it's an ICE CAP or just a walk on a beautiful evening.

New...hmmm, what's new here? Well, unlike some less fortunate folks I know, we are maintaining good health and have managed to skip this mean, nasty cold/bronchitis bug that is going around! Scary stuff... my gf had the 1st go around from December to March and then got this newest version about 4 weeks ago. I keep threatening her with a surgical mask!

My photography business continues to grow at a very slow place, which is my preference. This coming week I finally have an appointment to show my work to a restaurant to see if they will put it into their rotation. Prayers and good thoughts, please! I also got my sellers permit last week and have an appointment to see someone regarding getting a booth at a local street fair. SCARY stuff! :-) (and exciting too!)
