still not much new...

Woohoo... newest and best thing is that tomorrow is Friday!! It's been a busy week. Seems the invitations I did for Twink were well received and I'm now in the throes of creating 50 that need to bed done and addressed by next Thursday!!!! *fainting* Anyone have any free time???? I think Sunday will be devoted to this project, as Saturday is already take with the Renaissance Faire! Can't quite decide it I want to go in costume (semi) or just be comfy....hmmmm?

Have stopped by channel a couple times this week but it's been like a ghost town! Where is everyone?? For what's it's worth...I actually miss you all! ;-) Stop by and leave a comment or send me an email anytime!

Work has been slow recently which makes me crazy. The financial world is cyclical and right now no one is enjoying the roller coaster ride the stock market is taking! What I don't understand is... if you made a concious choice to put your money in the stock market, which goes up and down ALL the time... how can you get upset when it goes down??? It has been the nature of this particular beast, since it began, that that is what it's going to do. Lucky for us, our clients are in for the long ride and don't call having heart attacks (or removing their money) which keeps me employed...and able to take my trips! :-)

Which brings me to my next and last subject! VACATION!!! YIPPEEEEE! I am so ready for so many reasons! And I'll spare you all and not go into any of them! I've made my list and have started buying the little things I need and putting them all together so that hopefully next week at this time, I'll just be relaxing..hehe..do you think I can do it????

Enough for now.. stay safe and well... hugz

Geezzzz...such bossy bloggers! (and they know who they are!!) I've been a busy girl!! Doesn't that give me permission to miss class for a few days? lol

As you can see by the pic... our resident fireguy, a.k.a GWN7, is more than just the typed word! hehe He's actually ...hmmm, maybe I'll let you figure out what he is..lol We met at the car rally on Saturday afternoon and I learned about Porsche 914's ..thanks g'ness there was not a test! Saw some fabulous cars in varying shades of the rainbow! Picked out the one or two I want when my lottery money comes in! We shopped..lol..can you imagine? And it wasn't even for me! haha Tomorrow we will go to DisneyLand and California Adventure before he wings his way north again. So, more pics to follow!

this n that...

Well, it's been a week... and interestingly enough..I don't have much to tell you. Life remains relatively the same, which is good. The daily ups and downs, like the fluctuations of the stock market, are to be ridden out with the best attitude possible or by choking the first person that enters your space..lol

My granddaughter called me the other day to share her good news. She recently started baton and her troop will, if they get it right, be marching in the Disneyland Parade on June 5th! Of course she, like everyone, knows grandma not only loves her, but Disneyland too..lol I will be posting pictures!! I must admit, I really love this grandparenting thing! My grandson on the other hand loves to tell grandma about the "green guy" on his favorite video game! lol... and he doesn't stop talking about it!

Daughter #2 heads to No. California for training next week for her new job. Five days, a hotel, rental car, food allowance..and no family... heaven! lol She's excited and we are for her.

Staying in movie watching mode. Finding Neverland.. for the kid in all of us, Sideways was okay but I don't have a clue why it got so many awards, Hotel Rwanda.. a reminder of how far removed we are from the atrocities that happen in other countries... that movie made me cry. Bought Meet the Fockers for our home library today... funny, funny movie! Hmmm, maybe I'll become a movie critic...lol

16 sleeps til my trip... I AM excited! Four days til I meet our resident fireguy from channel. Wonder what kind of donut I'll get half of..lol... pics to follow!

Okay...so I did have some things to say...enough for now tho.. stay safe and well.. hugz

a moment in the morning...

Laughing... thank you for your comment, Bobbi..and NO, she's not planning another one! She had gotten the same comment from work, so I'm not too far off..lol...she did got much longer than her sisters, both had minor ones before they were 20.

Seems, the goddess thinks I have things to say... well...hmmm..ummmm. It was nice to hear Dini's voice on the phone too, much more personal than the typed word! Thanks for all your help, gf.. I appreciate your knowledge and valuable opinion. I can't believe our trips are coming up so soonnnnnn! I called my godparents after Dini to check in and make sure they had ordered nice weather for my trip... they said it's nice NOW...lol AND they had their first mosquito's this week!!! NOOOOOOOO The mosquito's had a field day with me last year! Does Ontario ever have a season without bugs??? I also spoke with our favorite AirportGoddess and she sends her greetings to all. She promises she will get online...someday...lol

So, what about the Prince and his new bride?? Do you think the Queen not showing up at the wedding was a clear statment? And does confessing the sin of their relationship during the blessing absolve them from 35 years of it?

enough for now..have a GREAT day! hugz

update in the life of... me! :)

Okay, okayyyyyyyyyy…. I’m typing this in word first, oh goddess of all blogs! As Dini knows, I did type up a decent blog this week, was excited about sharing it, and then Blogger ate it up and did not give it back! I was soooo depressed that I could not bear to even look at a blog, let alone type one! Hehe..not I was rather frustrated though and then the weekend came and I got busy, soooooo…I’m back! J

Let’s see... Last weekend I went to a workshop that was fabulous! I’m glad I’m open to learning, growing and changing.. it can make my life and interactions just that much better and hopefully my girls might get some benefit from it. This weekend included a shopping day with 2 of my girls and dinner out and then today was lunch at my aunt’s and then Walmart her and my mom.

Talking about my girls.. this was a busy week for Brit. She had her first car accident last Monday. Her back is bothering her a bit but she went to see our chiropractor right away and he’s already helped her a lot…the scary part of having kids that drive..I always worry about them when they are on the road! Her car suffered minor ($500 estimate) damage in comparison to the man that hit her. Ouch! Now for her good news! J A couple of weeks ago she interviewed for a position within her company and on Wednesday she was offered said job! WOOHOO! She will work 8-5 M-F and got a raise annnnnnnnddddd she gets to go to San Francisco for a week for training. Nice for a 22 yr old… can’t tell mom is proud, can ya?

Saw two movies recently… The Upside of Anger – interesting, thought provoking .. and BeautyShop – much better then I expected, made me laugh .. one for the home DVD library when it comes out. I would recommend both.

Okay, enough rambling .. going to watch the end of Grey’s Anatomy, GREAT new show! Wishing you all an awesome week!!

Stay safe and well.. hugz

Just to say hi ...

Not much to catch you up on as I was at a workshopshop all weekend and am exhausted, yet elated. I am open to learning, growing and changing, and I did. :)

Saw 2 movies last week... Miss Congeniality 2, which is good, but as many sequels go...is not as good as the first. Also saw The Upside of Anger, an interesting, sometimes funny, often thought provoking movie. A little slow to start, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I am now starting my countdown, along with Dini and Rick.. one month and 3 days til I board the big silver bird and head to Ontario for my annual visit. I am so very thankful that my godparents are still fine, he's 92 and she 88, and they will celebrate their 68th anniversary this coming October. The bonus this year will be to see Dini and Rick too!!!!!!! And all are eastern friends... fun times! Pictures WILL be taken...hehe

Sleep beckons.. stay safe and well!
