It's late, so I'll be quick..the sandman is calling me. The weather is cooling down a bit each day which makes me much more pleasant to be around..hehe. Of course, I'm never difficult to be around anyway, right??!! ;-)

The daughter is doing okay...it's a day by day thing. Her sister and I made chocolate dipped strawberries for her tonite to take to work tomorrow for a potluck. Any little thing to help, you know? She got her car back today from the body shop where it's been for 10 days for simple repairs. I think she's kinda getting screwed by the other person's insurance company and the car rental company, sooooooo...tomorrow mom is gonna have a few words with them both! Remember, NOT difficult!

Busy, busy, busy... isn't life always that way tho? I thought as we matured, life settled down..did I miss the memo? The last week has found me more attached to the TV than usual as all my favorite shows wound up for the season. Some very interesting endings! And according to the blog goddess, 2 of these shows were not picked up for the fall..that is NOT okay with me and I'll be dropping a note to the network that carries them!!

I've also been trying to spend more time with one of my daughters as she nurses a broken heart. It's so hard to watch and know you can't do anything but be supportive, offer a shoulder and pray as you know that as with all difficult situations, time is the best healer. I took her down to the beach overnight this past weekend and on Sunday we just spent some time relaxing at the beach, listening to the waves, enjoying the breeze and the screeching seagulls..grrrrr...lol.

I've also been working with my photo's ...creating enlargements..some matted and framed..some just matted and also creating new cards. There are a couple of coffee shops that will put them up for me to try and sell and also my hairdressers salon. I've had great responses and look forward to seeing what happens. (I think..lol)
Yeah, yeah, goddess...I hear you even when you're not saying anything..lol. I have a wedding to shoot on June 12th... good thoughts, please ..as that is NOT my favorite photo shoot to do. I thought at one point that was what I would like to do with my photography... I've changed my mind!

Thinking about taking a hula class with a good friend of mine starting next month. Have always wanted to try it, means I could take it off my "to do" list that I have yet to create on paper but have well stored in my overcrowded memorybanks. lol

I think I'm back ....

Here it is, Wednesday already .. where did the beginning of the week go??? I absolutely LOVE to travel and as much as I love it, I almost dislike as much, adjusting to the time change. I find the more "mature" I become, the more difficult it is! Oh well, it's a small price to pay for the joy I get from traveling!

I was grateful to come home to a clean house and kids that were glad to see me! (I should leave more often???) "Normal" showed itself almost immediately as it took us well over an hour to get home, a 30 minute drive on a Saturday night. The flight was good, 1/2 full at best, so many folks got 3 seats to themselves and the rest of us enjoyed an empty seat between us.

This week has me busy catching up on bills, which my kids did NOT take care of..lol.. laundry and of course, developing, sorting, and creating with the pictures I took. Amazingly enough, I only shot 3 rolls of film, which for me is a miracle! haha I will work on posting some "people" pics from Hamilton tonite BUT don't hold me to it! :-)

BRRRRRRRR .. I was quickly reminded this morning as to one of the reasons I have no desire to move back here...it was like 30 DEGREES!!! What happened to the couple of days of 70's??? Looks like it will be close to that again tonite.. for all my canadian friends that live in provinces that get this cold (and much colder)... you're welcome to it and I'll visit you in the summer! lol

Today was a day of visiting and saying what could be final goodbyes (unspoken ones). My godfather is 92 1/2 and although his mind is keen, his body continues to fail him. He is at peace with whenever he's called to go but like he said today...it's leaving the rest of us that he doesn't want to do. He shared with me memories of when I was younger and then complimented me on becoming the woman and mother that I am. I thanked him for laying a foundation that helped me to be the person he sees me as. What a blessing they both have been in my life.

Tomorrow I will head down to Toronto and hopefully will catch up with Cathy, if only for a coffee and a chat and also to catch up with a friend from wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back when I first got online, someone Joy introduced me to when she lived over here.

not much new....

Just a quickie (learning from Brad :p ) Not much new here .. did our annual shopping day trip into Belleville today which included a stop at Walmart (of course), a stop at Town and Country - a wonderful gift shop and bakery in the middle of almost nowhere, a stop at the mall for lunch and a couple of small purchases, the grocery store, and last but not least, a drive thru at Reids Dairy for the best soft serve ice cream I've ever tasted!! No worries though.. I had the kiddie cone and didn't eat the cone..kept my sugar intake to a minimum. For those that know my penchant for butter tarts.. you'll be VERY proud of me as I have not had even a bite of one! Wow.. am I sick? lol Of course, I've not yet left Canada ;)

checking in from Canada, eh...

Monday night and I am in Marmora, Ontario, Canada .. a small town of 1400 people. The town reminds me of Mayberry...small, quaint, friendly and peaceful. I know I will leave here refreshed and at peace .. something I'll need to face the fast paced California lifestyle, and my teenager...lol

Three days with Teddie, Magic and Erma.. what can I say??? hehe... What shall I say??? lol It was wonderful to spend time with good friends and to see they have not changed one iaota!! That in itself should speak volumes to those that know them. hehe To those that don't, it will leave you with something to look forward to! *grin* It was also wonderful to see Drucilla again!! Your good company has been missed in channel, gf...stop by and say hello...puhleasssssse??

All for tonite... I'm tired and my body doesn't seem to know what timezone it's in!

almost ready...

Time to blog before the goddess gets online to get caught up and finds nothing new...lol... I will see her this week and value my life! ;-) There seemed to be a veiled threat in her parting blog...lol. Glad to know she arrived safely and is well ensconced in the loving arms of her friends and family! Hopefully they will be willing to let her go back to BC next week! hehe

The picture below is of my 2 lovely goddaughters. The photo session was to take Terisa's 2 year old picture, but had to grab this one of the sisters! Big sister will be 15 soon and is a lovely young lady, and totally a teen...haha...enough said! Their mom used to be one of my babysitters just a few short years ago..hehe.. funny how things come full circle! Now she is an attorney and I am working for her a few hours a week and *I* babysit sometimes...haha.

Well, my trip is almost here and I am sorta ready. I, like Dini, am not feeling stressed either. I'm sure tomorrow night may find me feeling differently, but I'm hoping not. lol Talked to AirportGoddess tonite and she will be working when I arrive Friday night so we'll have our first visit at the airport and then she has reserved all of Saturday for us! Will be wonderful! And will be recorded *grin*
