sneaking in before month's end....

Woohoo...I made it, just under the wire, with January coming to a rapid close. I remember when 31 days took a long time to pass..amazing the things that change with age.

Half of December and half of January found me being sick, getting slightly better, feeling much worse and then, of course, tweaking my back. I have felt better for the last week and hope this continues through 2007!
So, my blog, as usual, was last on my list. The time spent on the computer was better spent catching up with friends, and that I did. :-)

My apartment now looks like home.. my home. The second bedroom is still my "garage" but slowly there is less and less. I will NOT commit to how long it will take to look how I want it to, butttttttttt, I'm okay with that too. My goal for this week is to post pics by the "end of the month"! Any bets? ;-)

Being out of commission has kept my life a slight bit quieter, but don't get excited...not that much quieter! lol
Have seen a couple of movies (now that I can sit for that long..haha) I would not recommed Babel unless you're into intense, heavy on the emotion, drag yourself out of the theatre type movies. I would recommend Stomp the Yard ..enjoyed it tremendously!

Being out of commission (sorry to repeat myself) , mentally and physically, also kept me away from my photography. There was no desire, no motivation...nada.. BUT that is changing...watch out world, I coming back!!! I am in a gallery right now, will put a few pics in a new one in March and be back at the one I'm in now for June and July... our theme then will be "From the Depths". Not sure what I will do with that ...feel free to send me suggestions!

Where did I leave off? Oh yeah, right after my Christmas party, which none of you attended! ahemmmm
Next year, no excuses!

So, to get myself really settled into my apartment, I had 4 events between December 15th and 25th. Seems I have yet to learn how to space things out and give myself a break..laughing. December 15th was a luncheon with my "lunch bunch" friends ... December 17th the Christmas party ... December 24th had all of my family here for Christmas Eve and December 25th had Christmas day lunch with daughters and my ex and his family. All were special times. *smiling*

New Years Eve was lovely. A wonderful evening of relaxing and spending time with an old, yet new, friend. We both agreed 2007 would be our (individually) year .. creating the lives we want. I think that is the #1 goal on my list this year. Let's see, what goals am I willing to share? lol

On my small goals list: get to bed earlier ..... doing a better job of staying in touch

Medium goals: dance classes ........ volunteering

Large goals: get my massive amounts of photo's in order, whatever that means ...
voice lessons

The only bad part to the end of 2006 and beginning of 07' was being sick. BUT without getting into it, I am almost better and for that am thankful! Now, how do I avoid all the sickies ?? Winter flu... hate it!!

Well, I have tomorrow off, but still need sleep. This maturing can be the pits..just can't do the LATE nights anymore..laughing.

Good grief...it's been a month of Sundays plus!! I have to play catchup all the way back to Thanksgiving, and at my tender age, thats not such an easy thing to do!

I apologize for the longgggg break, but truthfully, the last 6 months of the year caught up with me aright around Thanksgiving and I fell apart. The timing sucked as the holidays were rapidly approaching and I was in a new place I was not happy with. About 3 weeks later I started pulling myself together and managed to get through the holidays. This was the first time in a long time that I was glad it was over. Do not plan on a repeat next year...ooops, that would be this year..lol.

Based on the last paragraph, I must say, there really isn't much new. Work is fine, the apartment is okay, involved in another gallery showing, kids are fine..blah blah blah.. How's that for exciting??

This is a new year, I have a new attitude, and I have no plans to revisit the place I left recently. Life is too short to allow the negative to consume anymore of my time and energy!

So, although this is short, I want to wish you all a fabulous 2007 .. full of love, good health and all God's blessings! I hope to have the opportunity to see you this year! If not, know that I am grateful for you in my life, for your friendship, love and support!
