my visit with the aussie....

Well.... he's real...definitely not a bottle redhead..hehe ..and he has a great accent!! He's as saucy as he is in channel...has a great sense of humor and I have to tell the truth....

HE'S A FABULOUS PERSON!!

Darn, I so wanted to tell you all something terrible, some quirky bad habit...lol...but alas, it can't be done!
What I will tell you is that he was gracious, charming, and a gentleman.. a breath of fresh air in a society that has forgotten those traits. Thank you, Brad for the lovely day of visiting, laughter, talking about life...and just hanging out! Too bad you don't live closer. Safe journey's home, friend. :-)

Lucky Brad got the best weather we've had in weeks on his short visit to Los Angeles. We went up to Holly"weird" and as usual, it lived up to it's name. haha The afternoon was spent at The Grove Mall in Los Angeles (where dtr #1 works). It was created to look like a small town with a little park, dancing waters, a double decker trolley and lots of stores (most unaffordable for the average person). Lunch was eaten outside where we got to visit more and watch the sea of humanity come and go.. definitely a melting pot. We then walked the "mall"...checked out Crate & Barrel ..haha..more than once and finished the afternoon sitting outside listening to Morris Wade, formerly of the Drifters, and a friend.

Sunday, the 23rd and I'm slowly getting better! Thank goodness for that.. I pass on being that sick again for a LONG time!! I have not falllen asleep sitting in a chair so many times ever!! Is this a preview of MANY years from now when I'm actually "older", not just mature? Thank to all those that have taken care of me.. brought me homemade soup, shared remedies.. I think they all have helped!

Not much to type about but wanted to catch up. Hope you have a fabulous week...stay HEALTHY and safe..

it's been a while...

Wow...it's been almost 10 days. Forgive me, please. It's 4:30am ..sighhhhhhhhhh...would much rather be sleeping but my cold/flu is keeping me awake. I was a good girl and was taking care of myself last weekend by getting a flu and pneumonia shot. I started getting sick within literally hours of the shots and have been that way most of the time since then. Thanks Dini for being my sounding board all week. I can't remember the last time I got this sick so quickly and intensely..if ever. I'm hot, I'm cold, my sides hurt from coughing, and my sinuses have no room for air. Hmmm...bet you're glad you read this blog...lol

The above having consumed my life at the moment, there is not much to tell. Thinking... hmmm, there really isn't, sooooooooooo, I'll say g'bye for now and wish you all continued good health!!!!!

The above pictures were last Wednesday, Oct. 5th. Took a day off to enjoy the Magic Kingdom with my grandchildren. It was a fabulous day and we had much fun being together. Lucky me got to see them again on Sunday afternoon for lunch and halloween costume shopping!

Have been very busy with all my jobs and the upcoming street fair, so blogging is not first on my list...BUT... wanted to let you know I hadn't forgotten how..lol

A new week....

Good Sunday evening! I'm sitting here watching the 2nd half of Gray's Anatomy after watching my Sunday evening lineup.. Extreme Home Makeover and Desparate Housewives and now... Love the EHM, not so sure about the Housewives..they're kinda goofy right now..and Gray's, well..there's no question! :-)

Saturday evening was a blast! Four of us took a 5th girlfriend for an overnight and we all had a blast! Rented a great hotel room, 2 level, with a fireplace and a jacuzzi bath that seats 3. We enjoyed margarita's, silly word games, munchies, the jacuzzi, LOTS of laughter, walking to a great dinner where more margarita's were ingested..lol... poor waiter couldn't understand us for all the laughter. Great thing for gf's (and couples) to do... just get away overnight and be relaxed and refreshed as we go back to our families.

Happy news..will have a booth at the street fair I was hoping to get into on October 21st. The gal who's in charge loved my work and was excited that I'll be displaying and selling my work. I need a popup canopy, lighting and a way to display my framed work... anyone want to come help!!?? ;-)
